Moodle is a course management system (CMS) - a free, Open Source software package designed to help educators create effective online courses with opportunities for rich interaction. Moodle provides tools for content delivery, links, activities, communication (forum, wiki, bulleting board), quizzes and course management, similar to HighLearn which is used by Virtual TAU.

Moodle runs without modification on Unix, Linux, Windows, Mac OS X, NetWare and any other systems that support PHP, including most webhost providers. It is used in different languages by many Universities around the world.

Tel Aviv University is using Moodle which is now synchronized with the University's data base. Virtual TAU's support center offers workshops, on-line help and personal support for lecturers.
